A client needed a way to list events for her customers to see where she would be and when. Being technically challenge, I needed to give her something that would allow her to simply enter a few key words and let the website do the rest. To do this I modified a previous script by Jonathan Kern called WP-ListCal. WP-ListCal had some great functionality but I needed more!

What I Changed

v1.1

  • Updated “Update Options” to work with WP 2.5.
  • Added “Default Options” buttons.

v1.0

  • Added multiple fields (Location, City, State)
  • Removed “Description” field.
  • Removed “End Time”field.
  • Changed directory structure for a cleaner installation/setup.

Installation

  • 1) Download and uncompress rf-eventlister.zip
  • 2) Upload the entire rf-eventlister directory to your WordPress plugins directory
  • 3) Activate the plugin
  • 4) Configure your options
  • 5) Add the form to your page

Possible Future Features

  • Ability to customize HTML output.
  • Ability to customize event fields.
